My story

I’ve always known I wanted to be a therapist.

Growing up was a wild and wonderful journey. My parents met through kismet, which proved to be a key element in keeping them together, despite their differences. My family’s devotion to expanding and witnessing through life’s challenges helped create the resilience I experience today.

Graduating high school at 16 and college at 20, I traveled the world until the age of 22. Having lived numerous lives and experienced everything imaginable, I felt a strong pull to settle down and establish my own version of stability at an earlier age than most.

Launching my personal training business in LA, I swiftly gained recognition as a successful celebrity trainer and studio owner in the initial years of my adult life.

In 2020, I tragically lost my beloved, imperfect brother to life's darker sides. As "twin flames," our shared journey allowed me to navigate both light and darkness. This experience expanded my capacity to witness and be present with others' pain and suffering, as well as my own.

Although I’m no stranger to trauma, I don’t feel burdened by it. My upbringing instilled in me a life-saving sense of spirituality and purpose. Healing can be fun (and of course, sometimes, not so fun). As no stranger to grief, trauma, and the “darker” parts of life, I find power and purpose in also making light.

Through my physical practices and deep educational – personal and professional dives into the healing effects of movement, breath, and meditation I found ways to release my past pains.

Ultimately, I embrace the invitation to fully experience the "full-spectrum" of life—both its beauty, and its brutality.

After over a decade of focusing on the physical aspects of health, after losing my brother, and since becoming a mother––therapy resurfaced as a more honest and expansive expression of my purpose––and I’ve been here since.

My Approach

I base my approach on the understanding that a significant portion of our challenges stems from our society's limited ability to handle distress.

The reality is that life can be brutal, filled with chaos, stress, and imperfections. The rapid pace of our modern, technology-driven, consumer-centric lives often intensifies our sense of being overwhelmed, distressed, and anxious. Additionally, our culture tends to shy away from pain and vulnerability, promoting an unrealistic expectation of perpetual happiness. Consequently, when we inevitably fall short, it may feel like a personal failure, but it's crucial to recognize that the system itself is inherently challenging.

In our work together, my goal is to support you in developing your distress tolerance––your ability to deal with the messy, incomplete scenarios life throws your way.

This is best done, by the way, in partnership with a warm, encouraging, experienced professional (that’s me 🙋‍♀️) .

what it’s like to work together

what it’s like to work together

  • We begin by establishing trust through open conversations and sharing stories.

  • I'll guide the process with thoughtful questions and attentive listening.

  • Together, we identify themes and explore them in-depth.

  • We take the time to recognize the underlying connections in your experiences.

  • Coping mechanisms become a focal point of our work.

  • We determine your goals, baseline, and threshold.

  • Utilizing breathwork, somatic grounding, and other effective tools, we focus on regulation.

  • We then delve into more challenging aspects.

  • Our journey involves deep change-work, enhancing your skills to navigate life and achieve desired outcomes. I'll be there as a supportive witness, providing guidance for exploring opotentially uncomfortable areas.

  • As you master these tools, you'll find that in moments that would typically trigger you, you can slow down, remember, and apply your newfound insights—emerging as a transformed version of yourself.

  • With consistent application, these experiences reshape your life, offering new choices and ways of being.

Therapeutic Modalities

For those who are aware of different therapeutic modalities, I implement research backed Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Somatic infused practices to support clients in improving their self-regulation and insight.

As clients become equipped with “sharper” and more efficient emotional and mental tools I use psychodynamic (think Carl Jung) as well as existential and narrative psychology to collaborate with clients to connect their “dots” of today back to the deeper, often darker parts of their mind and subconscious.

I am a trauma informed therapist doing my best EVERYDAY to understand what each one of my clients experiences and feels — we call it the 'culture of one'. Each human is unique in their experience of self and other, while we share universal themes in our lives, the stories we tell our selves is ours alone to carry.

I work to help my clients upgrade and get better tools to manage their life stress.

We can not outrun our demons or hardships however we can learn different ways to cope and move through.
